Zoom Lens Hood for L-558, L-558C, L-608, L-608C is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the Job The only reason I dont give it 5 stars, it is mainly price. this is a tiny piece of rounded metal that could probably have a manufacture cost of cents. Thanks middle men. The good though; it does the job, step up and protect from flare. I purchased it with the purpose of stepping up to attach a polarizer and be able to measure with the filter on. I believe this is quicker and more precise than mentally calculating compensation. Beneficial in the case of a polarizer since the compensation can vary depending on several factors. Again, just too bad I had to pay this much for this feature... otherwise no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have for your light meter This hood makes the spot meter for the light meter much accurate by reducing lens flare. It also makes attaching filters much easier so you can account for your specific polarizing filter instead of guessing. The only draw back is you can not leave it attached when storing it in the sekonic case.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but not stricly necessary As not strictly necessary since for the most part you can account for filter factors, it is mostly a convenience not to have to mentally calculate exposure factors. Simply attach the filter and measure with the filter in place. Most convenient with polarizer than any other filter. However, plan on either having two polarizer filters or ring adapters but in the latter case you will waste time while moving the filter from Camera to meter back to camera. other than that it has served he purpose but barely ever use it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, but meter may not fit in case. Works well for what it is designed for, but has side effect on my meter, the L-758 that it will not fit in the case with this installed. (The instruction manual lists it as compatable even though heading does not say so.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Useful add on for your 758DR Meter. I find this to be a useful add on to the 758DR light meter. The only issue I have with it is storage. It will not stay on the meter and fit in the meter carry case and there is not an accessory pocket to store it in either. So, I ended up getting a ThinkTank storage zipper bag and store the whole kit including extra batteries and their charger, the meter in case and the hood in it. Not as convenient as it would be if the carry case could include it but keeps everything in one place.
