The Heliopan 62mm UV SH-PMC Filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. No additional coloration or contrast is provided, allowing you to pair this filter with others. The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.

The SH-PMC multi-coating provides a total of 16 coatings, 8 per side, for significant reflection reduction (below 0.2%) as well as dust and moisture repellence for easier cleaning.

This Heliopan filter is constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. It features a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST FILTERS What can you say about a UV filter? As long as it instals easily, protects the lens and doesn't degrade the image... it's perfect. The52MM filter SAVED my favorite 50MM 1.4 from a fall effectively ending my filter or no filter debate. I have found Heliopan to be, bar none, the highest quality glass to put between all my Nikkor (and one Tokina) lenses. If you're going to invest in the best lenses you might at well protect them with the best filters. period

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST filter ever made Protects a Nikon 105mm Micro lens and was worth every penny! These filters are simply the best and I have left Tiffen behind as Heliopan has proven to me to be the best filters in every way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Filter I have used other Heliopan products and the quality is superb. This general purpose is excellent. I got it primarily to protect my 85mm, 1.8 lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely the best filters These are the only UV/protection filters we use. Why put a $50 piece of sub-par glass on a $2,000 lens?? Get these and don't look back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Superior over all filters I've tried in the past. You get what you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best protective filters on the market Aeons ago I experimented with early Cokin and Hoya filters - I wasn't over impressed but you get what you pay for. I've also used B+W, Singh Ray and Lee. Excellent filters (the latter two rather specialist). But for more than 10 years I have used only Heliopan for protective and polarising filters. The SH-PMC designation is worth the extra. Very robust and cleans so easily. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Excellent Solid Filter The Skylight/UV filters I purchase are an insurance investment meant to protect the front element of my lenses. I like the Heliopan brand because it is a very solid filter with an outside metal (not plastic) ring. Not being an expert in optics I cannot honestly say more than that. The filter does a good job and has never given me any problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heliopan filters really are the best I've tried pretty much every good brand out there, and I always end up replacing others with Heliopan. The mounts are thin brass rings that don't bind and have front threads to allow for stacking or use of a snap-cap. The glass is beautiful, and up to the task for even the best lenses.
