The Rane AD 22d is a fully balanced, 2-in/2-out, professional audio alignment delay, intended for use with live or installed PA systems, and providing a delay range of 1.50 to 999.99 ms on each output. The unit is housed in a rugged, single-space metal rackmount chassis.
The delay of each AD 22d output is independently adjustable in 10µSec and 1 ms increments. Delay values can be displayed in milliseconds, feet or meters. The ambient temperature of the room may be manually entered in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. The temperature is used to accurately convert distance into time. The unit features 24-bit audio converters for consistent sound quality.
Each AD 22d output is equipped with 2 non-volatile memories (no batteries required), A and B, for easy access to previously stored delay values. Remote Recall screw terminals on the rear accept external configuration switches, permitting independent remote recall of the memories.
The AD 22d features XLR inputs and outputs, and can operate as two independent channels in dual mono, or as a stereo pair, allowing for simultaneous editing of both channels. This unit is a workhorse product offering technology and reliability at a reasonable price.
