Novoflex FLASH-GRIFF overview

  • 1Description

With a comfortable padded left-handed grip and a 9.8" baseplate that accomodates many camera types, the Flash Grip bracket is a great base for any of Novoflex's new flash systems. Both the track for the camera and the flash grip can be adjusted left-to-right for an ideal setup. On top of the grip is a detachable ballhead with a flash shoe that's sturdy enough to hold all shoe-mount flashes in any position. One can accessorize by adding a flexible arm, so that the flash can be positioned in a variety of places (including directly over the lens center). There is also a rigid arm extension.

Dimensions: 9.8 x 1.6 x 0.3" (WxDxH) [baseplate], 1.6 x 5.4" (WxH) [grip]

Novoflex FLASH-GRIFF reviews

Flash Grip Flash Bracket with Strap & Ballhead is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Novoflex Grip A great accessory for any DSLR to get the flash up and off of the camera. I use it for aiming my flash above and over macro subjects but it has a wide range of other possibilities too. Not only does it get the flash up and over but provides for a steady shooting platform when hand held. Works great for small advanced point and shoots like the Canon G7 where the larger ETTL flashes may be utilized. The Novoflex Flash Grip/Bracket is well worth the cash laid down, machined bar stock aluminum it appears with a powder coat and metallic blue acents, the ball head is well built and securely locks into place with thumb screw. An excellent buy. Expertise: Amateur Problems Encountered: Tripod adaptability could be a little better but still easily attached to one. Previous Equivalent Item Owned: None in regards to flash brackets/grips Items I Recommend: As per Novoflex accessories

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! I love this flash bracket. It's built solid, the ballhead will stay where you set it. It supports my Speedlite 430EX with no problem, this bracket makes macro photography with my EF-S 60mm macro so much easier.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from An expensive disappointment Beautifully machined, but the base plate that attaches to the camera needs a more substantial anti-twist capability, the little rubber disk just doesn't do the job. Also, it's easy to strip the threads on the screw that attaches the grip handle to the base plate. No need to ask how I know.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Very good piece of equipment I use this product mainly for my Macro flash photography. As previously stated, it gets the flash up off the camera and over the subject. It is well constructed, the only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because of a few plastic pieces on the ball head which I havent had a problem with yet but potentially could become one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product - Well Built I use this product primarily for macro indoor and outdoor photography. The bracket cost more then others, however, the quality and construction is well worth the extra charge.
