Great product. Very well engineered. Firm enough to hold anything from mics to flash heads, to video monitor screens, with zero movement, yet flexible enough to position as needed... and hold. I bought two to create a macro flash bracket rig, and they work perfectly. A little heavy, perhaps, but no doubt about the quality or long-term functionality, which I’m happy to trade off a few extra grams for.

I use this to mount an external Atomos recorder but it can be used for other things, obviously. There is some confusion over what size the ends actually are. I looked on 3 different sites and 2 of them said both ends were 1/4-20. Actually one end is 3/8 and the other is 1/4-20 but it comes with an adapter to put on the 3/8 end so you can have both ends be 1/4-20 (standard tripod/camera size). I didn't know this when I placed my order so it was a nice surprise. Hope that helps.

That's what it is, one end 1/4 , the other end 3/8 .
