Deluxe Microphone Arm and Riser System (Black) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect addition to my studio I do a lot of screencast videos that require voiceovers and previously had been setting up my RE20 on a boom stand every time I recorded one. I have limited space in my studio so I couldn't leave it permanently set up. Wow does this thing save me time. Fits perfectly on the site of my desk and rotates out of the way when I don't need it. I also got the pop filter and shockmount. The whole package is ace. Very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE mic/arm riser to own! This tool is a must for use with the SM7B or other mic. It is easy to install, mondo sturdy, and is easily articulated into an infinite number of positions for recording. If you are buying the SM7B, buy this arm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much More Sturdy I bought this as a replacement for a Heil arm that literally exploded while being moved into position. The internal spring broke loose and shot out of the arm. If I had been a little bit to the left, it would have hit me in the face. I know it sounds comical, but those springs store a lot of energy. The O.C. White arm and riser appear to be very sturdy. They are much quieter than my previous arm. The only downside is that running the cable inside the arm is much more difficult on this model. The designers anticipate running a bare wire. As I am using a USB microphone (Audio-Technica AT2020), I chose to run the wire externally. It's not as pretty, but it works, and saves me from wiring a USB connector. I believe that the next model up is easier to wire. Had I known this, I might have shelled out a few more dollars. To finish offthe O.C. White arm is built like a tank, it weighs much more than its predecessor, and is quieter during movement. If, like me, you are replacing a Heil arm, you might want to note that this unit fits in the Heil stanchion. However, it moves much more quietly and easily in its own upright. The receiving opening on the O.C. White riser is milled to a much smoother finish.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Broadcast standard. Not much new to say about this, as it has been a standard in radio broadcast and voice-over studios for years. It is alternative to a mic stand and boom, and especially good for heavy microhpones like the EV RE20. It allows quick repositioning without loosening and tightening friction bolts. It mounts on a firm serface such as a desktop. As first shipped to me, the box was missing a part. However, BH quickly resolved the problem by sending me another one which was OK.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I recommend this product I am using this mic arm and riser system in my home-based audio studio. It is the same system used at the radio station where I worked. It is sturdy and works perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best This baby, which we used to call the reciprocating spring boom at the many radio stations where I worked in the 80s, 90s and naughts, can withstand even the tantrums of a rock n roll disc jockey. I love it for podcasting; it hoists my modest MXL condenser mike up and over the computer monitor. A pop filter and a blimped computer fan and I am good to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE BROADCASTER'S CHOICE FOR YEARS! As a retired Broadcast Engineer, we always depended on O.C. White microphone arms to support the RE-20 or other mikes. Naturally, I wanted that same quality for my home studio. This product will NEVER disappoint. It is quality and toughness in an attractive package.
