The "C" on the filter ring designates Hoya's thinner design for this filter. This filter has its UV properties in the multi-coating. question

does this filter fit the Panasonic Lumix FZ80?
Asked by: Glenn R.
No, the Hoya 46mm Ultraviolet UV (C) Haze Multicoated Filter is not compatible for use with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ80 Digital Camera. The Panasonic DMC-FZ80 has 55mm filter threads. As such, I would instead recommend the Hoya 55mm Ultraviolet UV(0) Haze Filter, B&H # HOUVMC55, for your usage needs.

question

HelloI would like to know if this filter is good enough and it is clear enough without reducing the sharpness of the image at all ?Also is it on the lens 24-70 full frame body going to show any vignetting. Thanks a lott
Asked by: Anonymous
This filter would be a good choice and would not reduce the sharpness of your lens. It will not cause vignetting on a 24-70mm lens attached to a full frame body.

I want to know the difference between the UV (c) and the UV alpha fitlerhttp://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/900341-REG/Hoya_calp77uv_77mm_Alpha_UV_Filter.html

The Alpha version is a standard type of UV filter, the C version is a thinner version with shallower filter threads. This version is popular on wider lenses where vignetting can be a potential issue.
