This Cokin P Series Hard-Edge Graduated Neutral Density 0.3 Filter is designed for use with a Cokin P Series Filter Holder. It helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a hard-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. A neutral density filter with a hard-edged line of transition is useful for images which include defined horizon lines. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and this filter provides up to a 1-stop reduction in light from entering a lens.

This filter is made of durable, optical resin (CR39) and measures 1.6mm thick.

  • Compatible with a Cokin P Series Filter Holder
  • Darkens bright areas of an image, such as skies, while leaving the remainder of the frame unaffected

  • Hard-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas

    P Series Hard-Edge Graduated Neutral Density 0.3 Filter (1-Stop) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Decent Product Its a decent filter for the prize. Does its job as intended. 1 Stop may not be all that effective to notice any siginificant benefit but I bought it to stack it on a 3 stop filter for certain conditions. Filter looks extremely cheap, almost like a cheap widnow of a chinese made toy bus... but the box looks more expensive then the filter ... in fact the box is made of really good durable platsic material and looks elegent. I think Cokin needs to spend more money on the glass even if it means giving cheaper or no box. The filter definately looks rediculously cheap on my L glass but at the moment I am willing to spend only this much as I need to learn more about using filters correctly. Once I get good at it, I will definately buy better quality filters. I would recommend it only for those who have entry level lenses or if you are like me who wants to learn first before spending extra on better filters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent landscape tool I utilize the filter for landscape photography, excellent when dealing with high contrast between sky and foreground

Rated 3 out of 5 by from ND Grad filter The graduations are not consistent from one grad filter to the next, so you have to hunt through them, but once you have an 'even' set, they're fine. Square filters are a hassle to use, but once you've got the tripod out, well, how much worse can it get? If you want the results...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great!! One filter used on different lenses thanks to the holder kit from Cokin. Does the job. Makes daylight photography more fun and adds more 'drama' to bright indoor photography. Worth building a good set of these...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Does exactly what it is suppose to do which is bring down the sky or any subject down a stop. I have the three stop version but sometimes you need something not quite so dark. And a great price too

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works well I use this for my landscape photography. Works great, and the Cokin system suits the way I work. I also bought a circular polarizer, so Cokin now takes care of all my filter needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just that little extra... The filter gave my photos of Manhattan Skyline just that little extra deep colour of the sky that I was looking for - both in sunlight and ealy evening.
