Neumann Z48 - Microphone Clamp

Excellent design and quality.

This shock mount is a perfect fit for the U87. Removing and repositioning the mic is easy and quick, and the felt lined clamps won't put even the slightest wear and tear on the mic. The price is extreme, even compared to other Neumann-made shock mounts. I'd say the price probably reflects not just its actual quality but also the U87's historic brand -- to put it another way, it's not just a shock mount but probably a future collectible with a high resale value, and unfortunately priced as such. Still, this is an ideal mount for a U87 or similar mic.
