UltraPod I Tabletop Tripod is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Go Pros Works great with a Go pro, on the ground for people, dogs, bears or other animals running by. Attaches to branches steel poles or other similar objects. I am surprised that this is not next to Go pros in stores. If I was only going to buy one accessory for a Go pro it would be the Ultra-pod Need to buy the inexpensive Go-pro tripod mount. I have had an ultra-pod for over 30 years. I used to use it for backpacking with a 35mm camera which worked ok if there was a stump, log or boulder handy. But if you are after good images with a 35mm camera you would be better off with a larger sturdier tripod especially if you are looking for soft water or low light images.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential accessory I've owned mine for over 3 years and I use it all the time, with a variety of cameras and camcorders. It's very easy to position and stays put. One feature that I love is the velcro strap. You can fold up the legs of the tripod, and wrap the velcro strap around a post or pole to mount the camera up and out of the way. I also own a gorillapod, and this one has proven to be more useful and more stable. In fact, I almost never even bother with the gorillapod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best small tripod? I use this tripod any time I can to keep the focus of the photos as sharp as possible. It is also great for outdoor landscape/scenery photography because the velcro strap gives it a much more versatile function when there is not a surface available for a tripod. This one is made in the USA, very durable, and is the lightest tripod I've ever held. The weight factor alone makes it outstanding for serious travelers. Also, the mounting joint allows both vertical and horizontal orientation of the camera, at least with a large non-SLR camera. The only drawback I have about this tripod is that I don't always like to carry it around in my pocket, and it may not fit in small camera bags.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to carry tripod I took this on vacation to a theme park. Easy to carry in a small pack. My favorite feature is the velcro strap. Can strap to a hand rail or seat arm and get a great shot in low light, or steady video. Also easy to set on a wall or bench. Seems sturdy. I use with a small (Flip style) video camera and a point and shoot still camera. Probably would support a DSLR. I wouldn't put my GL2 on it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good little Plastic tripod for the money It's more or less what I expected. On the plus side it's sturdier than one can expect from a plastic tripod and does the job for a light pocket camera. I keep it in my car at all times. That said, the plastic ends on the legs fall off easily, so I just removed them. The velcro strap, which I consider a useful addition stands on the way of folding the legs, plus is secured by a piece of plastic on the inside, which again falls out easily, so I keep it separately. There is aluminum version of the same one for those who don't like plastic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight for Backpacking Use this with an Olympus EPL1. The ball and socket mount doesn't slip, with the kit lens, if it's really tight. If you were to velcro the Ultrapod 1 (1.84oz) to a tree say, the body of the camera is to wide (4 7/8in or 12.4cm) to position the camera 90deg to the tree to take a landscape shot (although you can use something as a spacer between the pod and the tree). I would probably be better off with the Ultrapod 2, but this one works for backpacking trips; mostly taking landscape shots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bullseye: Casual Photography and Travel I primarily do casual photography, travel, and take pictures for @ listings at times. This tripod is perfect. It is compact, doesn't occupy much space, is incredibly durable, and functions exactly as intended. What I wish would be better is the velcro strap, which can lose its stickiness over time. That can be fixed with a rubber band or small widget used for keeping cords together at a computer desk.Highly recommended.
