Wimberley M-1 Overview

Wimberley has a system of flash bracket components that are modular, versatile and easily stowed in a small space when not in use.  Known as the Shape-Shifter Modular Flash Bracket System, the components connect without tools.  None of the combinations slip, twist or creep-even during intense action.  They're integrated with the venerable Arca-Swiss type quick release system, now dominant as the industry standard for macro and telephoto shooting.

Module 1 is a quick release arm, and the clamp's screw is captive so that it cannot come off from being unscrewed too far.

Excellent Support Mechanism for Beanbags
With two Module 1s attached to a tripod collar's quick release plate, protruding to the left & right, the Module 1 makes a brilliant base for long lenses when used upon beanbags.
No Tools, No Creep, No Lost Parts
Wimberley's modular Shape Shifter system needs no tools for use.  Components quickly and easily connect to one another, with a design that makes creep or twist during use simply impossible.  All knobs are captive, and cannot fall off accidentally from being unscrewed too far.

Definitely need this item (or equal) when using the M-4 adjustable arm. Note that it relies on an Arca-Swiss bracket on your camera.

Connects to the Wimberley Plates

I bought this to add pieces to the F9 Bracket Package I bought. The F9 attaches to the Wimberley Head, with this piece and one other I can use pieces from the F9 to attach the bracket to the Wimberley plate for off tripod use. It works fine. Cons, its Wimberley and it is pircey
