Wimberley F-6 Overview

Wimberley has a system of flash bracket components that are modular, versatile and easily stowed in a small space when not in use.  Known as the Shape-Shifter Modular Flash Bracket System, the components connect without tools.  None of the combinations slip, twist or creep-even during intense action.  They're integrated with the venerable Arca-Swiss type quick release system, now dominant as the industry standard for macro and telephoto shooting.

Combo 6 is all you need to use a flash directly over the lens center with the Wimberley Sidekick gimbal head adapter. As with all of the Shape Shifter components, and unlike other manufactuerer's products, parts are captive to prevent detachment from accidentally unscrewing them too far while in the field. Total weight of this combination is 0.39 lb.

I use it on my Wimberley MH-100 MonoGimbal, as long as there's enough room on your lens foot for both. Typical robust W BQ.

question

How high, e.g. how far above the lens is the flash when mounted on the bracket?
Asked by: Joe
With this bracket, the foot of the flash is about 5 above the lens. Add the distance from the foot to the head of the flash and you are set.

Maybe not directly but works fine with the MonoGimbal when attached to the lens foot and P30 plate. plenty of room for both.
