The Audix D-Flex is a device used to mount Micro-D series microphones and enables them to be positioned in ways unachievable without it. The D-Flex features dual pivot joints and a wide-jaw clamp for firm mounting and accurate positioning on drum and percussion instruments.
This is the best rim mount clip I have found. It allows you to position mic so you can catch both the head and some of the shell. It also doesn't move very easily when playing.
I use these clips with my audix fusion drum mics, and they are wonderful! Affordable and rigid! Made mostly of plastic, the build is firm. The only thing that holds them back are that the threaded sections are plastic and are not as strong. These are great intro level clamps. Good product!
