The Whammy Pedal from DigiTech is a reissue of a pedal introduced many years back, with every last detail included in recreating the original, classic pitch bending effect pedal. The same smooth pitch bends, rich detuning, accurate "dive bombs" and fast tracking harmony shifts of the original Whammy pedal have been perfectly resurrected in the current reincarnation.
Also included are the original rotary preset selection knob, the Ferrari red color of the unit, the mechanical momentary switch and the exact same interval selections. The steel chassis has been updated to endure the perils of the stage better and the addition of a MIDI input provides more flexibility by providing remote control of the unit.
Preset LEDs provide a visual indication of the effect selections even on dimly lit stages and the "Dive Bomb" setting can bend the guitar signal a full three octaves down. The Whammy has an extremely intuitive user interface.
