The GNX3 is a combination effects processor/amplifier modeler in a floor-processor-form with a built-in 8-track recorder. Utilizing DigiTech's AudioDNA DSP Engine and the software power provided by GeNetX, the processor allows the musician to literally create their own amp model, their own speaker cabinet and their own signature sound.
The GNX3 provides several of the most popular amp models and speaker cabinets to choose from and then provides the tools and technology to "warp" the characteristics of these components into a "Hypermodel." The processor's amplifying creating ability is also enhanced with a complete library of studio quality guitar effects.
But, the unit's power to unleash a guitarist's creative potential is fully realized in song writing. By utilizing the built-in drum machine and bass amp modeler, a guitarist can first lay down rhythm tracks on the 8-track recorder. Then, by selecting from the library of amp models and cabinet imaging technology and the complete set of on-board effects, the guitarist can lay down the guitar tracks.
When that's finished, vocals can then be recorded on the remaining tracks using the balanced XLR microphone input on the rear of the GNX3.
A "Learn-A-Lick" feature samples those "speed demon solos" and then slows them down to one-quarter speed while retaining the original pitch to allow for ease of learning. The GNX3 is housed in a rugged steel chassis complete with built-in Expression Pedal. Assignable LFO Filters, full MIDI implementation and a user-friendly interface makes this a very comprehensive guitar system.
