The Comprehensive/Kramer 708 is a video and audio line receiver; it accepts combined signals over twisted pair lines utilizing RJ-11 telephone connectors, then outputs composite video and an unbalanced audio signal. Long cable runs are possible with a receiver/transmitter combination.
Audio and Video Transmission
Audio and video are transmitted together on twisted pair lines up to 300 meters for color video and stereo audio; "broadcast-quality" video is transmitted as far as 30 meters.
Twisted Pair Cable
Twisted pair cable is lighter and easier to handle than coax, plus it carries video signals much further.
Adjustment
Gain and EQ adjustments are offered for adaptation to different cable lengths.
