Behringer CX2310 overview

  • 1Description

The CX2310 SUPER-X PRO from Behringer is an active frequency crossover enabling two-way stereo or three-way mono operation. Each band features two 24dB Linkwitz-Riley filters, as well as individual polarity switches for each output that allow for quick and easy runtime compensation for various driver and horn types.

Additionally, the CX2310 adds a separately adjustable subwoofer output that provides an extra low-frequency band. The unit is housed in a single rack space chassis and has illuminated switches for ease of use in dark environments.

    Behringer CX2310 reviews

CX2310 Crossover is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Girls like it!!! I use this to bi-amp my Acoustat Electrostatics and 2 12 transmission line sub woofers. It's driving two Crown XLS402 amps. It's noise and hum free. It was easy to set up and sounds like_____. Well, it seems to have no sound. I highly recommend this product. At first, all the LED's were a turn off to me. Then several different females commented how much they like the lights. They usually have nothing at all to say about my gear. The ladies noticing and liking this crossover is an unexpected benefit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from CX2310 Crossover Very simple to set-up with enough features to fine tune your setup. No extra frivolous add-ons to make the operation of the crossover more difficult than need required. The summed mono SUB out jack is the best feature in my opinion and makes the CX2310 a great buy at this price level. Behringer equipment is no nonsense, solidly built, well-priced devices that get the job done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great device for live installs Great little crossover. Not the most high-tech unit, as the dials let you guess the frequency (you can't dial to e.g. exactly 100hz, you need to dial somewhere between 60 and 120). Definitely does the job well, the sub-out is worth gold.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to install Puchased 2 of these from another supplier. This replaced one that went down. Sending that one back for repairs. B&H double boxed their shipment. The other firm didn't (just slapped a shipping lable onto the merchanise box).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Behringer Bargain This is my second CX2310.... the first one I had quit when the internal power supply burned out in 2013 after 2 years of light use. Unfortunately I didn't realize you need to register the unit on line to get the 3 year warranty, lesson learned. I am using this in two-way stereo with my latest small portable PA setup, non-critical use....for block parties, etc. I wouldn't trust most Behringer products for critical/live gig use, other than some of their amplifiers... some of them are very reliable work horses. Setup: Dell laptop running JRiver>Behringer U-Phoria UMC202HD> CX2310> ART SLA2 amp (powering Fusion-6 mains) and Behringer EPX4000 for small sub(s). Honestly, this unit has features of much more expensive units, and the sound quality is comparable when set up and working properly. With my setup background noise is non-existent and the sound is very clean. Some nice features include subwoofer output with inverse switch and variable low pass, switchable 25 Hz HP filter, broad frequency coverage, all XLR ins/outs, etc. Yes, I would rather have another DBX but on a budget for non-critical applications this unit is a no-brainer. Active crossovers vary widely in features and price, so do your research. The only thing I am concerned about is potential longevity - hopefully Behringer has improved the CX2310 power supply section in the last few years. I have read reviews where others indicated portions of their other equipment failed resulting from the CX2310 burning out, hopefully that doesn't happen.
