The C-com opti is a single channel, optical compressor from Samson and is a perfect complement to the hygienically clean sound of digital recording. The compressor's adjustable threshold, ratio, attack, release and output controls are calibrated to generate a distinctive soft, rich character while providing good control over dynamics.
An enhancer provides the added character lost under heavy compression and a large analog VU meter easily monitors output level or gain reduction. A stereo link input allows for two units to be linked for processing stereo program material. Like other models in the C-com series, the C-com opti can be stacked and tilted in an ergonomically correct operating position.
