Smith-Victor 45W reviews

45W 45" White Umbrella is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good deal Not often does a lower price mean a good deal but if I were you I'd consider this a good deal. This umbrella is well made and very sturdy. I've only done one portrait shoot with these. They worked well with multiple models side by side or singles because shooting through they dispersed light well, even relatively close to the subjects. They're of much better quality than some other umbrellas I've used. If needed, I'll definitely buy more. Remember umbrellas are not made to last forever but I think these will last for awhile and at this price I can purchase additional ones for backup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Consistent & Decent Quality I bought 2 umbrellas, and unlike the other one that I just did a review on, this one is better quality. The Fabric is decent, it has metal support bars, not plastic support bars, good bounce, and good for diffusing light. Larger than I though which is good. I use is with the fast recycle Slave flash II which works great when I need artificial diffused light, or filler light.n Great for pet portraits if you dont want the animals to look too sharp. Gives softer light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I should have bought two A well built shoot-through umbrella that I use for portraits with my Canon flashes. I bought this to replace my double-fold shoot-through that had become quite beat up. Single fold is the way to go and this one feels like it will last for years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works Seems like a solid umbrella I'll see how long it lasts. It does seem better built than my other cheapy translucent umbrellas. My one negative it doesn't come with a protective bag and the plastic sheath that it did come in has already torn

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect For the price, this thing is amazing! I had to modify my lights a bit because they did not come with the punch-out hole like most of the newer lights, but it's great. I love it and can't wait to use it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft lighting with continous lighting I used the SM White Translucent Umbrella as a bounce with a 750 watt tungsten light. The results were a full soft light that work well for the one person portraits I shot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from decent product, decent price Diffuses strobe fairly well. Not as effective as a soft box but does the job. Easy to set up/take down. Inexpensive. Quality seems decent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfectly Fine Not sure how you could screw up an umbrella, but this works fine. (Haven't tried it as a rain umbrella.)
