Color Compensating Filters - Some photographic situations require specific color corrections. For example, when shooting daylight film under fluorescent lighting, some magenta correction is needed in order to remove the greenish tint that would otherwise appear. The amount of color correction required is most accurately measured via a color temperature meter.
The Lee CC10R Color Compensating filter is made of high-quality resin and absorbs blue and green. It is also available in the three primary colors: Red, Green, and Blue; and in the three secondary colors: Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. A typical designation for a Color Compensation filter is CC30M; The "CC" stands for Color Compensating; The "30" stands for a density of 0.30 and the "M" is for magenta. This filter combines an 81B Warming filter with a CC10R (Red) Color Compensating filter.
Lee resin filters are hand-made from a high-quality optical polymer that produces an exceptionally strong filter surface that is easy to clean and even easier to handle. Lee's quality control is extremely tight with the result being a product that can be counted on to be consistent filter-to-filter.
