question

Is this 2.5mm Male to 2.5mm Female adapter ?
Asked by: Vladimir
No, this is a standard 3.5mm stereo headphone connector on both ends. You're looking for a sub-mini connector.

question

Can I use this to connect my Rode smartLav+ to my Canon t5i?
Asked by: Dia C.
No. The Rode SmartLav+ is designed for smartphones since it has the extra pin on the base of the tip which carries the mic input, I believe. This adapter does nothing for you as it is the same as plugging your mic into the Canon body itself without this adapter. I hope this helps! What I think you need is a converter adapter (?).
