It doesn't matter what system of development you're contemplating; hand processing, rotary processing, hanger processing, or any other method, using the Expert Drums will yield beautifully even edge-to-edge development of your film.

The Expert Drums fit on the Jobo CPA-2, CPP-2, and ATL-2x00 processors, (they don't fit on the CPE-2 or ATL-1000/1500).

The 4072 Lift Accessory is required for use with the CPA-2 and CPP-2 processors.

When you demand the very best

I've tried many different types of development tanks and this is the very best one. It uses the least amount of chemicals too. Only 12 fluid ounces to develop 5 sheets of 8X10 film. Since the tank is always rotating in my jobo processor, there are no streaks or over and under developed spots. Just perfect negatives every time.

This thing is crazy good!

Just did 5 sheets of 8x10 B+W with a roller, perfect development. This tank is large, but works in a medium daylight changing tent. Worth the $$$

What is the recommended procedure for the final proper washing of films?

You can follow standard film washing using sheet film or outside the in the Jobo Expert Sheet Film Drum for 5-8x10 or 5x7 Film. There are no set specifics on which is better or not. Some prefer inside and some prefer washing the film in a separate film washer.

i am new to this, how do you load the film? and does it hold 4x5 film?

Turn them on roller bases. You should presoak for at least five minutes. The duration isn't important, so long as it's long enough to permeate the emulsion. I don't adjust developing times for rotary processing. The effect of the presoak is to slow development. For B+W work, varying developing time by 10 percent doesn't seem to have a meaningful effect. If you are developing 5x7s in the 3005, you can process ten sheets at a time with it! In the darkroom, join two sheets along their long side with cellophane tape on the base side, not the emulsion side, to create a single sheet that is 7x10 inches, and slide it in one tube. Repeat. When you process the film and remove the negatives at the end, the antihalation dyes will remain trapped underneath the tape. That requires a rinse of 45 minutes or so to clear the spots, but once the dye's off the negatives are fine.
