The OctoPre ADC Option 1 is a high quality analog to digital converter option for use with the Focusrite Platinum OctoPre eight channel microphone preamp. The converter outputs eight channels of ADAT Lightpipe that can be connected directly to any DAW soundcard that accepts the ADAT Lightpipe format.
The converters on the internally installable board are 24-bit with 128x over-sampling, will handle sample rates of up to 96kHz and can dither down to 20 or 16-bit rates. All frequency settings and bit rates can be selected from the front panel of the preamp. An ADC-lock LED shows when word clock is synchronized.
An external Wordclock input is also provided on a BNC connector that can sync to ordinary Wordclock or Superclock.
