The C256HV19232 192x32 Modular Video Card for the Chameleon 256HB Expandable Matrix Routing Switcher from Knox Video is a modular video card designed for use in the Chameleon 256 HB Series Routing Switcher. This card is ideally suited for a number of high-demand video applications, including professional broadcasting, distance learning, presentation systems, prison systems, sports bars & restaurants, and theme parks, among many other possible uses.
The Chameleon 256 HB is a high-bandwidth modular switching system that supports 200MHz throughput and offers the largest matrix capacity of all Knox systems. Once you own the Chameleon chassis, simply pick and choose from the wide selection of audio and video cards to change the input-output capacity of your switcher. This card is designed specifically to manage Composite video, Y/C, Hi-Def Component video, and RGBHV. It features 192 inputs and 32 outputs. Take advantage of this dynamic system and a wide selection of card configurations to keep pace with changing requirements and ensure that your setup always meets your exact needs.
This card can easily be installed into your Chameleon unit by way of the hinged front panel on its 12U rackframe. Simply configure it in the available slot of your chassis to unlock its input-output capacity. Audio and video matrices in this series may be linked together via serial cable. Patterns assigned to this card are recorded in the Chameleon's non-volatile memory, ensuring that all current and stored data are backed up. For an extra layer of protection related to your card configuration, your Chameleon may also be equipped with an optional, redundant, power supply.
Default configuration and control of this card and all matrices is primarily managed via the Chameleon's front panel or RS232. However, the unit may also be controlled via computer, remote keypad, or with the use of many third-party controllers. Command options include SALVO, batch, and event control, among others.
