The Savior ...

I called it the Savior since it saved me from buying a wireless kit today...I will surly buy a wireless kit, but since I am working on a documentary with some fixed medium and close up shots, it wouldn't matter that much if it was with a cable or not. The bad thing that really surprised me was the lack of an on/off button and a led light.

I have been using the Tram with my Sennheiser wireless as it is head and shoulders better than the Sennheiser lav. However, I have run into interview situations where RF has presented problems. If the subject is static and close to the camera the problem is now solved. I give it one less star as I have detected a very slight low level hum on location but cannot duplicate in the studio...don't know if it's the fault of the power supply or something else. And it's pretty darned expensive.

How long does the battery last?
How long does the battery last?
Hours? No wonder! I noticed the lav signal seemed to weaken over a period of couple days. I was hoping it'd last weeks or months. Maybe I'll mod mine with a 1.5V AA battery.
