Celestron T-Ring for Nikon F-Mount Cameras
Key Features
  • Attaches Camera to Celestron Telescope
  • Optional Celestron Adapter Also Required
The Celestron T-Ring for Nikon F-Mount Cameras allows you to use an F-mount camera to capture photos with your Celestron telescope. The T-ring attaches to the lens mount of your camera, securing via a sturdy bayonet flange that locks in place just like a lens. Then you can attach the other side of the T-ring to your telescope. A Celestron adapter (sold separately), such as the Celestron T-adapter, will be required to do this. It's the optional adapter that will secure to your telescope, and the T-ring will then thread onto the adapter. The Celestron adapter you choose depends on the type of photography you wish to do.

Celestron 93402 Overview

The Celestron T-Ring for Nikon F-Mount Cameras allows you to use an F-mount camera to capture photos with your Celestron telescope. The T-ring attaches to the lens mount of your camera, securing via a sturdy bayonet flange that locks in place just like a lens. Then you can attach the other side of the T-ring to your telescope. It's the optional adapter that will secure to your telescope, and the T-ring will then thread onto the adapter. The Celestron adapter you choose depends on the type of photography you wish to do.

The T-ring is made of black-anodized aluminum. The internal surfaces are blackened and glare-threaded to provide the highest contrast. The T-ring has a ribbed surface that allows you to securely grip it when threading or unthreading the ring. The T-ring should be used with compact DSLR/mirrorless type cameras only. Larger cameras would be too big to attach to your telescope.

The Celestron T-Mount SLR Camera Adapter for or "T-Ring" for Nikon F-Mount, attaches to the camera's body the same way a Nikon camera lens is attached and clicks into place.

Does this have M42 or M48 thread?
Asked by: Katie
Not sure if you are asking about the diameter or the thread pitch, all I can say is that the inside diameter of the collar is 41.1 mm so I would say the threads are 42 mm diameter.

Is this the adapter to mount Nikon DSLR D7000 to Celestron TrailSeeker 100 22-67x100 Spotting Scope?
Asked by: Apple
The Celestron T-Mount SLR Camera Adapter for Nikon F-Mount needs to be connected to an actual T mount, such as https://bhpho.to/2UfejnB , the normal T-mount diameter is 1.25 of an inch, and will fit the Celestron Spotting Scope eyepiece tube instead of an "eyepiece". After connecting the Celestron adapter to a T-moun, then one would connect the Nikon D7000 to the newly assembled T-mount on the F mount adapter side. It is important to keep in mind if you replace the eyepiece with a camera the magnification of the eyepiece will be reduced to 1X. Many people today prefer to shoot a photo through the eyepeice to retain the magnification.

The Celestron T-ring is 42mm. You need a 48mm T-ring for that telescope, and probably some spacers to get the back focus right.
