The Kodak 100 x 100mm #38A Blue Filter is a solid-colored contrast filter primarily designed to absorb red light, as well as some UV and green light as well. It is particularly adept at increasing contrast for visual microscopy systems.
Wratten 2 filters are constructed from gelatin for ease of use and consistent performance. When compared to original Wratten filters, Wratten 2 filters are more rigid and durable, easier to handle, and less sensitive to humidity, static cling, and fingerprints.
Solid blue filter absorbs red light, as well as some UV and green wavelengths, and is ideal for increasing contrast use with visual microscopy systems.
