Umbrella is nice and large however is not very well bowed and the rod is easily bent

No problems - high reflectivity gives great snap in large area shots. Black cover comes off quickly when that is needed. In addition to photo use, we find it great for keeping sun off a south-facing computer monitor at the time of year when the sun sneaks in the window.
