The ULTRAMATCH PRO SRC2496 is a two channel analog to digital and digital to analog converter and sample rate converter. It enables the user to transfer digital audio signals between devices with different sample rates, formats or interfaces and remove dropouts or jitter from digital media and as such is perfectly suitable for studio work.

Simultaneously operable outputs offer splitter functionality and the unit features high-quality 24-bit/96kHz A/D and D/A conversion. The ULTRAMATCH PRO SRC2496 can also perform format conversion between AES/EBU and S/PDIF (coaxial or optical) with high-quality signal output at 16, 20, or 24-bit resolution. Universal sample rate synchronization is done via word-clock or digital input. RCA and optical outputs are simultaneously operational with separately selectable inputs, turning this unit into a digital patch bay.

A/D and D/A Converters
High-end 24-bit/96kHz A/D and D/A converters for ultimate signal purity
Sample Rate Conversion

ULTRAMATCH PRO SRC2496 High-Resolution Sample Rate/Format Converter is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solved my problem! I bought this unit for a very specific reason - to provide a robust interface, with level control, between the AES/EBU comms connections on the Blackmagic Television Studio, and a separate Clear-Com Tempest system and so far it's doing a fine job. It sure beats BM's 3.5mm analogue jacks, and requires smalll 75-110 ohm transformers (from Canare et al). Delivery was swift - if somewhat unannounced. Just one caveat for non-US buyers - we're used to getting multi-voltage versions of everything (is that why we pay twice as much?) but this unit is 110V ONLY and required a small transformer from Jaycar. Using a mere plug adaptor with 240V would likely destroy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent piece of equipment It solved all my Audio problems with the ATEM TV Studio product. Driving it from a cheap Xenyx 802 mixer, mixing the venue sound (MC, music etc) and my Rhode NTG2 for environmental sounds. Worthwile addition to your OB-Kit. Only thing I would like to see changed is the ability of setting the level for the inputs seperately and the ability to mix the two inputs into one mono schannel. That would save the need for a mixer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfectly for our purposes! While I normally think of Behringer products as beautifully styled, mediocre quality units, they have definitely come a long way over the years. This unit is no exception. For the ULTRA low price (see what I did there), it has great build quality and functionality. You just can't get something in this price range that can compare. My use is very limited to a simple analog to digital conversion but the unit itself offers many more features. I had it plugged in and performing it's conversion in about 30 seconds...no manual needed. It's pretty intuitive. I'd recommend to anyone looking into this sort of converter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile and very affordable I needed a second digital to analog converter, to use to feed a monitor output to my board, so I could send playback to the artist during recording. I bought the Ultramatch, mainly because it was, by far, the most affordable converter that could accept an AES-EBU input (the digitial input/output format I use in my studio). Sound-wise, the Ultramatch is no match for a high-quality converter (I have a Benchmark DAC1), but it's very easy to use and far cheaper. It's also versatile; I'll also use it now and then to link devices with only spidif or toslink ins and outs to my AES-EBU equipped computer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job The Behringer ULTRAMATCH PRO SRC2496 was a little hard to setup and the instruction that came with it were no help, but it did not take long to get all the settings correctly setup and it does what it says it will do. Goob unit!
