JK Audio THAT1 Overview

The JK Audio THAT-1 is a telephone audio interface that connects between the telephone receiver and base. THAT-1 is designed to capture audio to record and play sound bytes or to send IFB dialog over phone lines. The compact telephone tap features unbalanced RCA I/O.

The audio connections are used for sending line level signal down phone lines or capturing a mix of send and receive audio. Electret style handsets may be used with THAT-1 (carbon, dynamic or handsets with keypads are not compatible). A level adjust dial provides control over send and receive levels. For its size the THAT-1 works great. I use it for taking callers on my internet radio show. It's clear, crisp and easy to use. All I had to do is set it and forget it.

I use it to record phone calls Robuts, reliable and easy to use It appears to have a signal limiter that I would preffer if it did not have it to enhance its linear dynamic range
