When you use tungsten film in daylight, the resulting photograph will have a bluish cast. The 85 series is intended to correct for this bluish cast. They can produce natural colors when shooting with tungsten film outdoors. Kodak offers these filters in three grades: 85, 85B and 85C.
Kodak gelatin filters are available in 3 x 3" (75 x 75mm), 4 x 4" (100 x 100mm), 6 x 6 (150 x 150mm) and 14 x 18".
NOTE: Whereas the 85 series is used for tungsten film under daylight conditions, use the 80 series of filters when using daylight film under tungsten lighting.
85 SERIES COLOR CONVERSION CHART
