The 8"-long Kodak Color Separation Guide and Gray Scale (Q-13) includes two strips for measuring and comparing gray and color values in all aspects of photographic work.

The gray scale is a strip of 20 stepped, neutral values and an 18% gray background that will help compare tone values of the original with the reproduced image.

For copy work, side-by-side comparisons of films, enlarging papers and color reproduction processes that require the use of masks, separation films and filters.

Useful for photographers utilizing the Zone system.

The Color Control Patches are for photos that will be used in web offset printing. Contains standard separation colors used in RGB and CMYK processes, that helps match the color in the reproduction to the original.

Can also be used in comparing the relative reproduction characteristics of different films and papers.

Color Separation Guide and Gray Scale (Q-13, 8" Long) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Color Guide Size I'm an associate fine art conservator, in this field exact photo documentation of each step of the process is crucial. This 8 inch color separation guide is small and light enough it can be stuck onto an easel anywhere with almost anything, yet it's large enough to read easily. The greyscale is on a separate card so can be used at the same time, no need to reshoot. The stiff construction of the card is a bonus for those of us who are hard on our tools- and the envelope it arrived in - perfect protection when you need to take the cards on location.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You get what you expect No surprises, it's exactly as advertised. Perfect if you want an affordable and portable gray scale. Comes well packaged so it's protected if you carry it around with you. I used it to calibrate a digital camera for use in research (to measure color of animals).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A small item that can be quite helpful I purchased this to used as an aid when when setting up the color for an inkjet printer that was printing very weak greens. After calibrationg my monitor and scanning this scale I was able to get the printer to consistently produce good photos.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Color under control...... In the digital world it is easy to misjudge what is the right color you expect in a finished product. This eliminates the guess work. Match the guide and the rest takes care of itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must for Scientific Photography I try to always use these in my photographs of inspections of equipment and test items. This helps me maintain consistency of color between photos (so any variations are due to color deterioration from UV, etc.) and also provides a scale for making measurements of deterioration. I use the large one (not this product) for lab photography and the small (this one) for field and on-site photography.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for These work great for when I am taking photos of my paintings. Having the white, black, and range of chromas allows my photographs to come out without needing too much color correcting... and the color correcting I do is easily calibrated.
