Manfrotto 440SPK2 reviews

440SPK2 Stainless Steel Retractable Spiked Feet Adapter (Set of 3) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good grip, hard to clean I got these to replace the easily-lost rubber feet on my 055MF4 tripod. They fit very tightly (to the point of being a challenge to install!) and screw down with a clamp to ensure they remain attached. The rubberized foot retracts (as pictured) to expose the spike when you need extra grip, or it can be spun down the screwed spike in order to cover it when you don't want to scratch surfaces. It locks at the lowest position to ensure that it doesn't become separated and lost. However, the screw threads tend to become clogged with dirt and sand (especially when the rubber part is down and the recessed screw hole is exposed), and this causes the entire screw mechanism to grind. Because of the design, it's difficult to field-clean without removing the entire foot from the tripod and immersing it, which means you need to carry a tool with you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as designed I purchased these spiked feet for the Manfrotto 055MF4. I had originally purchased this tripod for its compact design when traveling, and 1 of the original rubber feet on the ends of the tripod fell off. The replacement feet makes the tripod about one inch longer when collapsed. It still fits in my suitcase which was why I got the setup anyway, looking forward to using this set up more often.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again These tripod feet are great in that they are versatile with the spike part being able to retract. The only problem is that they can become loose, I have had this happen once and lost a foot while in the river, so just be sure to check them once in a while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from INDISPENSABLY I understand for marketing reason as size and weight they are not included in the normal package of the tripod 055MF4,( as well as for the studio use) But for me this is unavoidable to get them to improve the usual use of the tripod

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have accesory This is my second set of spiked feet. I've bought the first one along with my 055MF4 tripod. They should have been included with the ripod itself, but... Over the years one piece got loose and I didn't notice it. A few weeks ago I lost while shooting at night at SF Bay. Hence the second set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Replacement After loosing the rubber feet from my tripod i decided to go with these replacement feet as they have the added feature of the spikes. They went on snug and tightened up nicely. They look like they are part of the original tripod. Nice finish Mark Ridout Ridout Photography

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice replacement feet Hard to fault them. I bought them as replacement feet for an old lightweight manfrotto set of sticks I had lying around. They are well designed and fit as they should.
