What is the difference between this and the 2m pantograph FF3512N86?
The differences are based on the extended length and weight capacity. The Delta 1 Scissor Lift with Trolley for Light would extend from 13-72 and holds 10 lbs. On the other hand, Manfrotto FF3512N86 Pantograph with Wire Cable holds up 26 lbs and extends from 10.6-78. Additionally, the Manfrotto product can only be used on the Manfrotto rails.

If your using a load of less than 5lbs, you will need a counter balance for proper function.

Is there a way this can be mounted in a stationary position?
The unit has a brake if you wish to prevent it from moving. There are other units that attach via a stud if your looking for a system to mount with out the trolley.
