Compared with other releases the action is less smooth. In practice it works but I fear in a critical application like macro it might cause some minor shake.

Great Reliable Cable Release

This is now my favorite cable release for my large format lenses. The Zeiss disc lock mechanism is smooth and reliable, and locks securely, and size is large enough where I can comfortably grip the release in a closed hand and use my thumb to depress the plunger.

question

What cables releases work with a Sony RX10 M2 camera?
Asked by: Wesley R.
The built-in WiFi and NFC connectivity is designed and intended to be the camera's remote via your smartphone. You can control much more, and to a greater distance, with the smartphone than with an older-style remote. Otherwise, Sony offers the Sony RM-VPR1 Remote Commander with Multi-Terminal Cable (B&H # SORMVPR1 MFR # RM-VPR1).
