When using handle-mount flashes, a connecting cable is required in addition to the dedicated Rollei adapter; Slide this cable into the adapter as far as it will go; Then slide the adapter with the attached cable into the camera's hot shoe and connect the plug of the cable to the flash unit; Moderately tighten the knurled wheel of the adapter to secure it
When using with shoe-mounted flashes, remove the flash shoe - if there is one - as described in the operating instructions of the the flash unit and exchange it for the Rollei adapter; Then slide the flash unit with the dedicated Rollei adapter into the hot shoe of the camera and secure it; Moderately tighten the knurled wheel
