    Behringer HPM1000 reviews

    HPM-1000 - All-Purpose Closed-Back Headphones is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 99.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product for the price. I am a teacher, and bought these for use by my students while they edit on the computers. They are solid, and well-made. I've bought some expensive ones before that snap easily when they are used. These, so far, are great quality and well worth the extra $5 to upgrade from the cheapy ones. The padding up at the top is very nice, and the padding around the ears doesn't squeeze too tight on your eyes (a complaint from the last headphone brand I bought). It comes with an adapter (gold plated!) for 1/4 pin if you needed to use it for an audio board or something. Overall, these are great headphones, and well worth the $. I've only had them about two weeks, but they are still holding up to teenager's grubby hands and prone to breaking stuff. :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for the price Pros: simple but well made, solid 90 deg connector and thick single cable, fairly sensitive as loudness is concerned. Likely to last a long time. Cons: Not suitable for my use, playing piano keyboard. Sound is muffled and washed out when hitting a key. The high end of the sound spectrum is just not there. Other lowbudget headphones I use , Sennhauser HD202 and Sony MDR CD60 are better, although the Sony is not very sensitive. I bought the HPM 1000 based on these reviews and expected better sound quality. Far best headphones for keyboard is still a 30 year old semi open Sennhauser HD420 which was about 60 bucks then. Other: Cable is 6', enough for me. but shorter then the other three pairs I own.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product for student use. Use 30 of these headphones in my classroom for the past 2 years. They have outlasted other headphones. The sound quality is quite good and they are comfortable to wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from School Lab Headphones I purchased 35 of these to put in my library computer lab. I have 30 computers. The first 30 worked out of the package with no flaws. They seem to be a great value. These headphones are light on students heads and comfortable. The cord is beefy with reinforced areas near the plug and headphones. The length of the cord is right for computer use. I also like the right angle plug. Each headphone has been used about 60 times in the last two weeks and there has not been any damage yet. I'll be really happy if they last a year or two.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These things are great... don't let the price fool you We use these for podcasting. with the odds greatly that this podcasting venture would result in failure, I wasn't spending a bunch on this. I hope they prove me wrong, but if not I have 5 really nice headphones we can all listen to some One direction in the dark and cry ourselves to sleep.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed, to say the least. let me begin by saying that B&H did an outstanding job. Got the product super-quick, Customer service was excellent. The new headphones? Well, that is where the disappointment comes in. I have had a pair of the HPM-1000 for 6 or so years, and loved them. When i got these, I noticed right away the the freq. response was no where near like my old ones. You would think that the same model would sound the same. Not this time. i will be hard pressed to buy Behringer headphones again. But, when I do chose a new brand, I will be getting them from B&H!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can't believe how good these are! I run a college film program, and I wanted some cheap headphones we could loan out to students in our editing lab. I figured these would be lousy but cheap, but they ended up being really GOOD and cheap! We've been using them for a couple years now, with no problems at all. They are very lightweight, which is actually nice, because they are very comfortable and don't hurt your head, even after long binge editing sessions. Best of all, the sound quality is surprisingly good. I'm not an audiophile, and we don't do super critical audio editing, but still, I like these as much or more than any other pair of headphones (Sony, Tascam) that I've owned. What an amazing bargain! I don't know how they do it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Re: jgrossberg's review The HPM-1000 headphones I purchased came with the 1/4 stereo phone plug screwed OVER the 1/8 stereo phone plug. I simply unscrewed the 1/4 plug off to use the 1/8 plug. My only complaint with them is that the ear cushion comes off too easily and since I use them with students this is a minor nuisance.
