JBL Control 30 Overview

Designed for both indoor and outdoor applications, the Three-Way Control 30 is the largest of JBL's indoor/outdoor Control Contractor-Series speakers. Ideal for theme parks, health clubs, under balcony, parks and small clubs, the Control 30 offers a variety of high-performance features including: patent-pending cabinet manufacturing techniques, a top-quality 70V/100V line-distribution transformer, a symmetrical mid/high-frequency horn which allows for vertical or horizontal mounting.

Weather protection is maximized using the WeatherMax multi-layer foam grille which prevents water incursion, nickel-zinc rust-resistant terminals, a fiberglass and Kevlar composite woofer cone, a pure titanium high-frequency horn driver, and pure butyl rubber cone surround. Additionally, the compact design and ease of mounting using the InvisiBall install system make the Control 30 ideal for low-profile under-balcony installs. InvisiBall adds the benefit of vertical rotation of up to 37° off-axis and horizontal rotation of up to 44° off-axis and all adjustments are made from behind the logo badge without having to remove the grille.

JBL Control 30 Reviews

My backyard has BASS

If you can afford them, then you can hear bass down to 40Hz for the first time in an outdoor speaker. Typical outdoor speakers even with 6 woofers only get down between 55-80 Hz. These bad boys can bring a thump to your backyard like you've never known. But not just the bass. The entire spectrum is extremly smooth. Thier wide horizontal coverage also creates a great stereo image all over the place. Three different mounting options mean you can fly them anywhere you want them. Even the wife says the expense was justified.

No, these are not pole mountable. They do, however, come with JBL's Invisaball wall mounting system, and yokes are available for installations.

Can you recommend an amplifier to go with a pair of the JBL Control 30 speakers?
Asked by: David
The Crown Audio XLi 2500 Stereo Power Amplifier (B&H # CRXLI2500) would be a good option to use with two JBL Control 30 3-Way Loudspeakers.

question

How to adjust different angels for jbl control 30 invisaball?
Asked by: Anonymous
There's a limited range, but under the label tag is a slot to insert a long Allen wrench. Once loosened you can adjust the speaker mount and re tighten, if you loosen it too much it can slide out so go slowly.
