Yes, You can use it with your tripod with a 1/4"-20 screw. I bought my clamp for the Ronin S gimbal and attached it with a 1/4 - 20 screw.

Is this compatible with the Canon M50 SmallRig Cage?
Asked by: Benjamin
If you're looking to use this release system to have the camera attach and detach quickly from the rig, the answer is no. If you're looking to mount the rig with the camera attached to whatever you'd be attaching the release clamp to, ( tripod, monopod) then the answer is yes, but you'll need to attach an Arca style quick release plate to the bottom of the rig.

Don't recall having seen an officially expressed weight limit, but it handles my Canon EOS 60 D with a Canon 100/400mm, f-4 without any problem.

Can I use this to attach a camera with Peak Design's capture quick release plate?

The plate does slide into it yes. Since it’s not big I wouldn’t have a huge heavy setup on it though

question

Has anyone used this on a Manfrotto ball head?
Asked by: Anonymous
I use this device on my Manfrotto video head tripod. If I just want to take photos in landscape or portrait mode using my (boomerang) flash bracket this allows me to do so. It also allows me to use the video part of it as well. Without it, I would have no way to mount my camera to this particular tripod. It is a little expensive, but it is worth it.

question

Does this support field type 8x10 cameras?
Asked by: Akira K.
It is a sturdy clamp and I am very happy with it. I use it with my Pentax 645z and it doesn't seem to have a problem even I put a four pounder telephoto lens on the camera. unfortunately I don't use view cameras therefore i can't offer any comment on it.
