The Fostex 8346 is a timecode/sync card option designed for use with the D2424LV digital recorder. The card provides you with a number of timecode options, including the ability to sync to an external video/word signal with 10 preset sync patterns or slave to an external LTC.
Timecode can be recorded from an internal or external source, and is stored on a "virtual timecode track" keeping all of your recording tracks free for audio use. Internal timecode, as well as timecode converted from ABS or recorded timecode, can be output as LTC. An independent timecode function generates timecode from a 24 hour clock, or any designated timecode address. You can also Force Jam to a timecode. The card supports 24, 25, 30ND, 30DF, 29.97ND & 29.97DF timecode rates, and is also compliant with the P2 protocol for use with various video editors.
