The 4004 Reference Microphone from DPA is a high-performance condenser microphone with maximum sound pressure level (SPL) handling and dynamic range during close capturing applications. The high SPL and dynamic range capabilities coupled with a wide linear frequency response of 10 Hz to 40 kHz result in accurate, transparent signal reproduction of signals that are rich in transients. There is a dynamic range of 124 dB from the noise floor to 1% THD and an extended headroom of 20 dB up to clipping level due to the hi-voltage powering system. The 4004 Reference Microphone can accurately achieve close range capturing of drums, percussion, brass, and guitar cabinets without noise and distortion.
