When Only The Best Will Do

One of the best kept secrets in my lavaliere mic arsenal is the DPA Miniature Mic Concealer. The mic concealer can either be sewn onto the talent's clothing if you're working on a short or full feature film, or it can be hidden on the talent using the DPA double-sided tape. DPA tape is the only way to go in my book. It stays put once it is planted so you can concentrate on capturing audio. Also, it has a thin pad that isolates the lavaliere from the talent's body. I'm so pleased with this system that I use DPA lavalieres, DPA Miniature Mic Concealers and DPA Double-Sided Tape exclusively. The only downside of the double-sided tape is it is fairly pricey, but the peace of mind is well worth the performance it delivers. If you have deep pockets consider purchasing the 500 pack which lowers the price of each piece considerably.
