Make long-range observations or explore the night sky using the 15x70 SkyMaster Binoculars from Celestron. These binoculars are specifically designed for those tasks and possesses two distinct characteristics that set them apart from many other binoculars and make them a good fit for the purpose. First is the extra-wide 70mm objective aperture, which allows lots of light and delivers good visibility in low-light conditions. Second is their high 15x magnification power, which enables you to have good close-ups on distant objects, even the moon and the stars. These binoculars have a configuration that allows you to observe celestial objects with both eyes, an advantage over regular telescopes. Also, they are fully assembled and ready to be mounted on a tripod using the included adapter. To ensure that you get clear images without glare, the lenses are anti-reflection multi-coated. Other highlights of the optic are its center focusing, interpupillary adjustment, and diopter corrector. To protect these binoculars while not in use, objective lens covers are included, along with a rainguard for the eyepieces, and a carry case.

I am interested in daytime viewing of the ...
I am interested in daytime viewing of the cityscape from my terrace and landscapes in the country. Night viewing is secondary. Are these binoculars appropriate?
These would work great, yes. However keep in mind they might be too heavy to hold steady, so you might need to mount them on a Tripod at some point. For your use these would be suitable.

question
Everyone is saying that these binoculars are really heavy, however its only 1.5 kg. Does it become very uncomfortable for a binocular, or is there add on weight?
I dont consider binoculars heavy. I normally have them mounted on tripod. When not the little extra weight helps steady them. Good buy for the money. I have recommended to a couple friends.
