Needs a better design

I use this cable from a Godin XTsa to a GR-55. I only use it for church service and rehearsal. So needless to say, I don't move around with it too much. I have brought four of these cables and they all exhibit the same problem. After approximately two months of play, they start to make shorting noises at the guitar. At first I thought my guitar was the culprit but later found it to be the cables. I have three useless, expensive cables hanging on my wall that I refuse to throw away and another that's going to join them soon. I'm hoping someone may have an idea as how to salvage them.
