Remote Audio HN-7506 Overview

The Remote Audio HN-7506 High-Noise Isolating Headphones are designed for location sound recordists monitoring in environments with extreme noise levels.

The custom design of the HN-7506 earpieces features a set of the 40mm drivers found in Sony's popular MDR-7506 headphones, ensconced in a pair of specially baffled, lightly damped elliptical shells, providing an astonishing 40 dB of attenuation in the voice range, combined with the clarity and frequency response necessary for critical monitoring.

The result of the HN-7506 design is not only a vastly improved monitoring and mixing perspective, but also diminished listening fatigue and long-term ear damage. These headphones are also recommended for live music recording and mixing, for eventual broadcast or commercial distribution.

I should of purchased these years ago

I record many things from location for film and orchestras. generally, I'm backstage, and the music bleeds into my MDR 7506's, and judgment can be difficult. I'm now able to lower my headphone volume and make better judgments. They are heavier but a small concession for quality.

Got them on now, listening to music.

Can the earpads from these headphones be installed on standard Sony MDR-V6 or 7506 headphones to increase sound isolation?

These are not specified to be compatible with either the V6 or the 7506. We would not be able to confirm.

These headphones can be used with a smartphone, because there is a 3.5mm stereo mini connection included, as well as the detachable 1/4 stereo adapter.

These noise-isolating headphones are monitors only, and designed to be used when critical listening is required in a loud environment, and a mic cannot be attached to it
