Is this compatible with the Sony A7s ii E-mount?

Is this compatible with the Sony A7s ii E-mount?
Asked by: Ivan
Not directly; this is an A-Mount screw-drive lens. You need the LA-EA4 adapter to physically mount the lens and drive the autofocus motor. Be aware that the LA-EA4 does not support all of Sony's hybrid autofocus features. For macro work, you may find that you don't need autofocus. In that case, the LA-EA3 would work fine. Or you could use a 3rd party A to FE adapter.

question

Is the Tamron 180mm f/3.5 macro compatible with the Sony LA-EA4 adapter? Specifically, does it support autofocus? I know that some Tamron lens do not work at all with the LA-EA4 adapter, or at least, will not autofocus.
Asked by: John
Yes, the Sony LA-EA4 will autofocus this Tamron 180mm f/3.5 EF mount lens.

question

Which is Maximum distance between lens and subject
Asked by: Jesus G.
If you are indeed inquiring about the maximum focus distance available between the camera and subject, as the lens focuses out to infinity, the maximum distance is infinite. As long as the subject is farther from the camera than its minimum focus distance (which is 18.5 inches /1.54 feet (47 cm)), then you should be able to view and focus on the subject.
