    QuikLok MS303 reviews

MS303 Clamp-on Sheet Music Stand (Black) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good small stand! As a guitarist who's tired of being hidden behind a full sized music stand I thought I'd give this a try. It works very well. It will not hold a heavy book but is quite adequate for a folder of music. It certainly gives me a more streamlined look during a performance and allows people to see my hands and instrument better. One thing I should mention is that if you use a telescoping type of mic stand you will need to attach this stand to the thickest tube as it does not attach well to the thinner length extending tubes. The stand seems well designed and sturdily built although I haven't subjected it to the rigors of jobbing yet. I'm hoping it will do well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use - Low Profile and Effective I find that this stand clips on easily to both the thicker part (bottom) of the mic stand, as well as the periscoping (thin) part. It's quite sturdy, and tilts as you need it. I was prepared for it to have a small surface (some reviews made it sound like you could only get an index card up there), but it holds both landscape and portrait letter sizes easily. The best part is that it is low profile, and fits easily in the gig bag with the mic stands. If you have a huge notebook of music, and want to see two pages at once, well, maybe this isn't for you. But short of that, it's a great item.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from QuikLok Clamp-on Sheet Music Stand Strictly amateur, I need to use a music stand for performances. A stand-alone music stand gets in the way and this seems to be the only product capable of holding a book of sheet music; however, it's heavy and tends to pull sideways on the cheap mic stands I use. The clamp jaws do not work on all the stands I use & I had to modify the opening a little. the jaws have a single point of contact to the stand, and can tilt slightly; doesn't hurt that much, but looks awkard. A counter balance and some kind of concentric shims for different sized stands would help. Even with drawbacks, I now have 2.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doea the job I'm a drummer and didn't want another stand confusing the floor space. This is a good and sturdy alternative. However it could be made simpler to change from right to left hand use. Three little screws and nuts in low light situations - really?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great idea, but not so great execution I am always trying to eliminate pieces of equipment to carry into a gig so the thought of adding a music stand to my existing mic stand was a novel idea. Unfortunately this product is extremely heavy and would not sit even on my stand despite all my efforts. I ended up purchasing the Pyle mic/music combo stand from B&H. That stand also has its flaws where it blocks me from staring at my audience, but it is a more stable unit. If you were going to purchase this Quik Lok unit, make sure you have a very heavy duty mic stand that can support it's heavy weight.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Impressed - Its cheap. Its cheap, I had to use gaff tap to get the clamp to stay steady around the mic stand. It also has a slight bent down so paper is always a little crooked. It works it's just cheap which is not really what you want in your studio.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A little too solid The picture led me to think the stand came off the mic stand towards me. This is not the case - it goes to the side. Since I have an old MS-10 round base, it pulls the mic stand a little off vertical. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't do it on a tripod base stand. And it's all because it's a well built piece; very solid construction. It holds my notebooks (paper) nicely and doesn't slip when I write on them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job. It does exactly what it says. Holds music very well and is sturdy. I do however wish the main body of it were aluminum because of the weight. It is heavy so you will need to position it over one of the legs or preferably a tripod stand for best stability and safety. Overall a good product I would definitely recommend and even buy again if I need an additional music holder.
