This is one of the best music stands I've ever used. Really sturdy, very good price.

question

Does the sheet music holder separate from the stand for transportation?
Asked by: Thierry
The sheet music holder does indeed separate from the stand. In my view this stand is well engineered if a little heavier than I expected - in part because the sheet music holder is made of steel (making magnets an option for holding music when playing outside). The point where the holder meets the leg portion of the stand is a V shaped, tongue and groove assembly with a set screw to hold it firmly in place. I would recommend this stand if you are looking for a sturdy stand that breaks down for travel; it may be a bit too heavy if you have to haul your equipment around a big city or are a long way from the performance hall.
