The TR6 is a bi-amplified, two-way studio monitor that is precision tuned to provide flat frequency response and uncolored sound, providing a true sonic reference for mixing. New ultra-efficient amplifiers provide high output, lower distortion, smoother amplitude and phase response and extended bandwidth.
Each TR6 is identical and therefore there is no acoustic distinction between the left and right speakers when used in stereo pairs. The cabinets can sit vertically or horizontally without impacting performance, so long as both cabinets are situated in the same direction. A front mounted bass port allows the monitor to be placed near a back wall without impacting bass response.
An input sensitivity control is used to compensate for different signal levels that appear at the input of the TR6. The control has a 20dB range. Multiple input connections are available and include XLR, both balanced and unbalanced, 1/4" TRS/TS phone, also allowing for balanced and unbalanced operation and an unbalanced RCA coaxial input. The cabinet is manufactured from 5/8" laminated MDF and filled with acoustical damping material to reduce internal standing waves.
