The FE-8 is an expansion module that adds an additional eight channels of control to the FW-1884 controller. Through a simple FireWire connection, up to 128 DAW channels (with fifteen expansion units) can be simultaneously controlled. The FE-8 is perfect for mixing big projects on a computer, whether it's a layered surround mix or a live recording when instant access is need to a mix.
The FE-8 does not require its own driver software as the FW-1884's driver recognizes the presence of the unit. Installation is easy and the expansion unit can be put on either side of the main control unit.
